Welcome to my songwriting page!
I am a veteran, award-winning songwriter and producer born and raised in Chicago. I've been writing songs since I was 13. As a former staff writer for A&M and Warner Chappell Music, I have had the privilege of writing for many top recording artists including Michael Jackson, Jeffrey Osborne, Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind & Fire and R. Kelly to name a few.
When I am not creating music for TV commercials and video games (www.gamebeatstudios.com), I am writing songs that I want to write. At this stage in my career, my creative soul is only interested in writing songs that have special meaning to me or songs that have the potential for social change and awareness. I also enjoy writing about love and relationships.
I have never and will never write to "fit in" with trends. I write from the heart, and if a song doesn't touch me on an emotional or spiritual level, I scrap it. I love all music genre's, but I mostly write R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, or Contemporary Gospel. I will even at times dabble in Rap music but with a message that is positive and thought provoking. I don't sing my own material, I prefer to use one of the many extremely talented singers I know. While most of my work is presented to the world absolutely free, some are available for online purchase.
